A few helpful details

Does eight strings mean eight solar panels?

No. A string can contain several panels wired in series. The combiner's string capacity refers to the number of separate string circuits it can accommodate in the specified configuration.

Can I choose a combiner by circuit count alone?

Check the complete assembly's voltage and current ratings, approved circuit protection, and your controller or inverter requirements. A higher-voltage breaker by itself does not increase the rating of the enclosure or bus bars. Use the linked manuals to verify the configuration.

Where are the dimensions and wiring instructions?

Every product above has a PDF manual link. The MidNite products also include a downloadable specification sheet. The OutBack user's guide includes dimensions, component arrangements and wiring examples.
